Tooling PM Technician

This position is on 2nd shift, 3:00pm-11:30pm.

JOB FUNCTION

To troubleshoot and do preventive maintenance on tools and equipment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs varied mechanical duties such as dismantling, moving, troubleshooting, repairing, and preventive maintenance of tooling
• Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with company lock out/tag out procedures
• Uses hoists and forklift trucks
• Inspects and evaluates tools at prescribed intervals of time and usage or upon malfunction or breakdown
• Maintains schedule of preventive maintenance measures
• Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on tooling and plans for and takes corrective action; makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned

• Maintains cleanliness and order within area

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

• Willingness to work overtime when necessary
• Manual dexterity required
• Ability to lift 60 pounds infrequently
• High degree of attention and care required to prevent injury to self and others when operating machinery and tools
• Some travel required
• Math and measuring skills necessary

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION

• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to position self to maintain equipment
• Frequently moves, positions, installs, and removes machinery and equipment
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions
• Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
• Frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information
