Crystal Grottoes Caverns About us Crystal Grottoes Caverns is an underground commercial cavern located in Boonsboro, Maryland. We are looking for friendly, outgoing personalities to take visitors on an engaging educational tour of the caverns. We are open seasonally as follows: Mid March

• Mid April , open weekends only Mid April
• Mid November, open every day Mid November
• Christmas, open weekends only Christmas
• Mid March, Winter closure period Job Duties Interact with Visitors by being friendly, approachable, and available.

A quality Visitor experience starts and ends with impeccable customer service. Let Visitors know you are available for questions. Learn and present a 35-40 minute tour through the cavern. Be familiar with the history and geology facts provided to learn. Learn to correctly operate light switches inside of the cave. Ensure that visitors do not touch or damage formations. Guides may at times also double as Clerks and/or assist Clerks with purchases or phone calls during busy times, especially with school groups. Help keep the cave building clean and tidy by picking up trash during downtime. Dust surfaces as needed. Leave the bathroom cleaner than you found it and notify the Manager and Owner of any problem. Maintain cleanliness in the break-rooms by cleaning up spills, properly disposing of trash, pouring liquids from cans and cups into sinks before disposal, and bagging trash when full. Possible yard work if needed, such as weed wacking, pulling weeds in front, picking up sticks, using equipment to blow leaves away from patio, etc. Additional duties as assigned.
