Trailer Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various repair and maintenance tasks related to trailers. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all equipment meets safety standards. The Trailer Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other technicians to provide high-quality service. Duties Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trailers, including brakes, axles, and suspension systems. Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections to ensure optimal performance. Utilize power tools and hand tools to perform repairs and modifications. Fabricate parts as needed to ensure proper functionality of trailer systems. Perform tire services including installation, rotation, and balancing. Troubleshoot electrical wiring. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. Document all repairs and maintenance performed on each trailer. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in trailer repair or related fields preferred. Proficiency in hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics a plus. Experience using power tools safely and effectively. Ability to fabricate parts as necessary for repairs. Familiarity with tire service procedures is highly desirable. Previous experience as a service technician or in a similar role is desirable but not required. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
