Trailer mechanic/Oil Change Tehnician

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Mechanic and Oil Change Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on position with a clear path to grow into full shop responsibilities. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailer systems, including brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems. Conduct thorough inspections to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems effectively. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and skid steers safely during repair processes. Execute fabrication tasks as needed for custom repairs or modifications. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each service job. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair projects while adhering to safety standards. Experience Experience with tractor-trailer systems is a plus. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools for vehicle maintenance. Knowledge shocks & struts, brake repair, and assembly processes is beneficial. Electrical experience including soldering skills will be advantageous for troubleshooting complex issues. Conduct safety checks and routine inspections as well as assist with other shop operations as needed. Keep work area clean and organized. Learn and take on additional responsibilites over time.
