Trailer/Refrigeration Mechanic

Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Trailer/Refrigeration Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing essential transportation equipment. In this role, you'll leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure trailers, refrigeration units, and heavy-duty vehicles operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Your hands-on skills will keep our fleet in top condition, supporting seamless logistics and customer satisfaction. This Day Shift position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of heavy equipment and advanced diagnostic tools in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties on various parts of the trailer such as; tires, brakes, lights, ABS, doors, landing gear, and other items. Performs standard vehicle and preventative maintenance on trailers. Preventative maintenance on Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems on refrigeration units Perform repairs as needed or directed Complete necessary paperwork on equipment and work performed Maintain clean and safe work environment Ensure completed work meets federal and state codes/regulations Perform trailer or refrigeration unit repairs off site as necessary. Work collaboratively with other Technicians to evaluate and repair trailers as well as refrigeration units Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by

Supervisor Skills:

Proven mechanic experience with a focus on trailers, refrigeration systems, or heavy-duty vehicles. Strong knowledge of brake repair, suspension systems, refrigeration systems, and diesel engine repair. Skilled in reading schematics and electrical diagrams; capable of troubleshooting complex electrical systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and use of power tools for custom repairs or modifications. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
