Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Transport Driver/CNA to join our compassionate healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients, residents, and medical staff between various healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, assisted living communities, and patients' homes. Your role combines driving expertise with compassionate patient care, ensuring timely and comfortable transfers while adhering to all safety and health regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles to transport patients and residents to scheduled appointments, treatments, or transfers within healthcare facilities or community settings Assist patients with mobility needs using appropriate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs, ensuring comfort and safety during transit Provide basic patient care support including vital signs monitoring, medication reminders, and assistance with activities of daily living when necessary Maintain accurate medical documentation and transportation logs using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to coordinate timely pickups and drop-offs, reporting any patient concerns or incidents promptly Follow infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during patient handling to prevent the spread of infectious diseases Ensure vehicle cleanliness, safety inspections, and adherence to traffic laws at all times Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or equivalent healthcare certification preferred Experience working in medical settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic patient care procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is a plus Experience with specialized care such as Alzheimer's/dementia care, memory care, hospice care, or behavioral health is advantageous Ability to lift or assist patients using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physically capable of handling mobility aids safely Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient service Join us in delivering reliable transportation combined with heartfelt caregiving!
