Transportation Operations & Compliance Coordinator

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Operations & Compliance Coordinator to support daily trucking operations contracted through FedEx. This role is responsible for coordinating continuously with FedEx dispatch and operations teams, ensuring drivers meet all service requirements, maintaining accurate trip documentation for billing/payment purposes, and overseeing DOT compliance for trucks and drivers. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and experienced in transportation logistics, trucking operations, and compliance standards. This position reports directly to the company owner and plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities Plan weekly driver schedules Coordinate daily operations with FedEx dispatch and operations personnel Monitor driver activity and ensure all pickups and deliveries are completed according to FedEx requirements and schedules Ensure all trips, routes, and movements are properly entered and updated in FedEx systems for accurate equipment tracking and payment Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding schedules, delays, route changes, and operational issues Monitor DOT compliance requirements for trucks and drivers Ensure vehicles with safety defects are immediately removed from service until repaired Review driver vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) and maintenance issues Assist with scheduling maintenance and coordinating repairs as needed Escalate operational or safety concerns to company ownership promptly Support overall fleet efficiency, service reliability, and customer satisfaction Qualifications Experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, or fleet operations preferred Familiarity with FedEx linehaul or contracted transportation operations is strongly preferred Working knowledge of DOT regulations and vehicle compliance requirements Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational and computer skills Experience with dispatch systems, trip management, or transportation software preferred Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions Preferred Skills Dispatch coordination Fleet compliance management Transportation logistics Driver communication and support Recordkeeping and operational reporting Attention to detail and accountability Reporting Structure This position reports directly to the Owner of the company and works closely with drivers and FedEx operations personnel daily.

Pay:

$45,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
