Job Description

World Atlantic Airlines is a U.S.-based charter airline specializing in ACMI, passenger charter, government, sports team, corporate, and ad-hoc flight services throughout North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The airline is recognized for delivering safe, reliable, and customer-focused aviation services while maintaining strong operational performance standards. We are seeking a highly organized, safety-focused, and proactive Stations Coordinator to support and oversee station operations, vendor coordination, flight support activities, and ground handling performance. This role is essential in ensuring efficient airport station operations while maintaining regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and superior customer service standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced aviation environment, possesses strong communication and coordination skills, and has experience working with airport operations, airline station management, or ground handling services. Position Summary The Stations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily station activities and supporting operational control for domestic and international charter operations. This position serves as a liaison between airport vendors, flight crews, dispatch, maintenance control, catering providers, security personnel, and third-party ground handlers to ensure smooth flight operations and on-time performance. The coordinator monitors station readiness, resolves operational issues, assists with irregular operations (IROPS), and ensures compliance with FAA regulations, TSA requirements, company procedures, and customer service standards. This role may require rotational shifts, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel depending on operational requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Coordination Coordinate and monitor daily station operations for scheduled and charter flights. Ensure all station services are properly arranged prior to flight arrival and departure. Maintain communication with dispatch, operations control center, flight crews, and airport personnel. Verify readiness of ground support equipment, catering, fueling, cleaning, baggage handling, and passenger boarding services. Support aircraft turnaround activities to ensure safe and on-time departures. Monitor flight schedules and operational changes in real time. Assist with gate assignments, parking coordination, and ramp logistics. Vendor & Ground Handling Management Coordinate with third-party ground handling companies and service providers. Ensure vendors comply with airline operational standards, safety procedures, and service level agreements. Evaluate station vendor performance and escalate service deficiencies when necessary. Maintain professional working relationships with airport authorities and operational partners. Assist with contract service coordination and operational reporting. Safety & Regulatory Compliance Ensure all station activities comply with FAA, TSA, DOT, ICAO, and company regulations. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout station operations. Participate in safety investigations, reporting, and corrective action follow-up. Conduct operational audits and station inspections when required. Monitor adherence to security procedures and airport access requirements. Irregular Operations Support (IROPS) Assist with operational recovery during delays, cancellations, diversions, and weather-related disruptions. Coordinate passenger accommodations, rebooking support, and communication efforts during irregular operations. Support emergency response procedures when operational incidents occur. Maintain situational awareness during operational disruptions and communicate updates to stakeholders. Administrative & Reporting Duties Prepare operational reports, station logs, and performance documentation. Maintain records related to flight handling, vendor activities, safety issues, and operational metrics. Assist management with station budgeting and operational planning activities. Support implementation of operational process improvements and efficiency initiatives. Ensure accurate completion of required operational documentation. Customer Service Support Ensure passengers, crew members, and clients receive professional and responsive service. Address operational concerns in a calm and solution-oriented manner. Assist VIP, charter, and special mission operations as needed. Support passenger service teams during high-volume operations. QualificationsRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in airline operations, station operations, airport services, or ground handling coordination. Knowledge of airport operational procedures and airline industry practices. Strong understanding of aviation safety and regulatory compliance standards. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic operational environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and airline operational systems. Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts. Valid driver's license and ability to obtain airport security badges. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience with charter airline operations. Familiarity with FAA regulations and station compliance requirements. Experience coordinating international flight operations. Knowledge of aviation operational control systems. Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish preferred). $44,729.84 - $53,868.20 per year
