Job Description

COME JOIN THE TEAM AT IGC, INC. PAY RATE
$24-$29/HOUR Every gate turn, every push-back, every tight connection on one of the busiest ramps in the country runs through IGC's Airfield Operations team — and we're looking for a Gate Coordinator to help keep it moving. If you thrive on fast decisions, clear communication, and being the calm, authoritative voice in a high-tempo environment, this is your tower. As a Gate Coordinator, you'll sit at the center of the action: directing aircraft movement via radio, managing gate assignments in real time, and coordinating with pilots, airlines, and the FAA to keep the ramp safe and the flights on schedule. No two shifts are the same — and that's exactly the point.
WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS ROLE
Front-row seat to airfield operations — you'll be the trusted voice guiding aircraft safely across the ramp.
Real ownership from day one:
manage gate flow, resolve IROPS on the fly, and see the direct impact of your calls. A tight-knit, mission-driven team that has each other's backs through every weather delay and diversion. Room to grow — train and mentor associates as you build toward more senior operations roles.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Aircraft Movement Control Issue clear, safe air-to-ground radio instructions for push, taxi, and gate entry within IGC-controlled ramp areas. Keep pilots informed on gate availability, hold times, and status updates. Proactively manage aircraft movement to prevent taxi delays and maintain full situational awareness across the ramp. Gate Management & Flow Monitor flights through company radar services and IGC's Resource Management System (RMS). Adjust flights and coordinate gate changes in real time as operations demand. Partner with airline personnel to manage assignment changes and enforce gate-use policies, including international/domestic separation and CBP compliance. Operational Coordination Track flow, weather, ATC constraints, and equipment status to make sharp, timely operational decisions. Serve as the go-to point of contact for IGC's non-movement areas. Collaborate with the IGC team, FAA, airport duty managers, ground handlers, and airline OCCs to keep the airfield running smoothly. Respond confidently to IROPS — diversions, medicals, mechanicals, weather, and beyond. Communication & Reporting Document ramp events, incidents, deviations, delays, and overnight aircraft stays. Participate in briefings and shift turnovers, and deliver timely updates to stakeholders. Bring excellent, professional customer service to every phone call and every handoff.
