Duties Safely load and unload baggage, cargo, and freight using appropriate materials handling equipment such as forklifts and manual tools. Conduct thorough baggage tracking and ensure proper placement on aircraft or in storage areas, maintaining accuracy and organization. Operate ground support equipment including aircraft tugs, belt loaders, and pushback tractors while adhering to safety procedures. Perform routine maintenance checks on ground support equipment and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure operational readiness. Communicate effectively with team members using two-way radio systems to coordinate aircraft movements, baggage handling, and other ramp activities. Follow all federal aviation regulations, airport safety protocols, and security procedures diligently to maintain a safe working environment. Assist with airfield equipment maintenance, materials handling, and ensuring compliance with all safety standards during outdoor work activities. Experience Previous experience in airport ramp operations, warehouse work, or logistics is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in outdoor environments with heavy lifting involved. Supervising or management experience in a fast-paced setting is advantageous for leadership responsibilities. Multilingual skills such as Haitian Creole or other languages are beneficial for effective communication with diverse teams. Knowledge of aviation safety regulations, mechanical systems, and equipment maintenance enhances your suitability for this role. Strong organizational skills combined with excellent time management are essential for coordinating ramp activities smoothly. Prior experience operating forklifts or commercial vehicles along with familiarity with baggage handling systems will set you apart as a top candidate.
