Overview Join our dynamic team as a Weekend Airport Maintenance Technician, where your expertise keeps airport facilities running smoothly and safely during weekend shifts. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of airport infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence and safety for all personnel and travelers. Responsibilities Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service to members of the community and airport visitors. Maintains knowledge of and applies the rules specified by the FAA and other agencies regarding safety and aircraft communications in all job activities. Maintain maintenance needs of the airport facilities and equipment and ensures that routine preventative and corrective maintenance is completed as required. Communicate with clients and the public and maintain an awareness of customer needs to ensure excellent service. Performs daily runway and radio equipment inspection activities as needed. Requirements High School diploma or G.E.D. is required, with minimum of 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of federal, state, and local rules and regulations pertaining to airport safety, aircraft emergencies, aviation fueling, wildlife hazard management, security, and aircraft operations. Ability to work independently during weekend shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public, state and federal agencies, and other City employees. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Reliable, self-motivated, and quick learner. Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
