The Training Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering, and overseeing training programs to ensure all employees are prperly prepared to perform their duties safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, business partners, airport regulations and applicable federal and industry standards. The Training Supervisor will be maintaining and reviewing the current status of training and qualifications in our stations. Meeting with the Operations and Training Manager to strategize and plan support trips to our locations. The Training Supervisor will be traveling regularly to the locations serviced by CRJ Aviation (
Currently:
AVL, COU, HSV, IDA, LSE, PBI, SGF, TUL
) to provide qualification training, manager training, new hire training, auditing, and etc. This position is based in Springfield Missouri.
Supervisor Duties:
Train new employees and managers. Organizes and oversees the training and qualification status of assigned locations. Conducts training calls, participates in and helps create calls / presentations for our teams. Represent the company professionally and support our teams to provide the highest quality training possible. Ensure compliance with FAA, TSA, airline, and airport regulations.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent managerial and supervisory skills. Extensive knowledge of operations and production management. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. CRJ Aviation is a drug free workplace. Pre-employment drug test required Ability to pass airport background screening and receive an airport SIDA badge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Must obtain and maintain a valid Ground Security Coordinator (GSC) and Local Station Trainer certification, or the ability to successfully complete GSC and Local Station Trainer and obtain the qualifications within 60 days and maintain them thereafter. Ability to create presentations and present to large audiences professionally.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Pull reports and organize the information to distribute to our station leaders Contact managers whose station may be behind or at risk of being behind on training to create or assist with an action plan. Management of training course completion status for the company Management of qualification levels for the company Instructs staff, leads, supervisors, and managers to ensure proper procedures are followed consistently in our company. Performs audits of operations for safety risks and training needs. Promotes a positive, inclusive, and team driven environment. Develop and implement fiscally responsible strategies within the operation. Maintains constructive working relationships with CRJ Aviation's customers. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2 - 3 years of Aviation experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to access and navigate the assigned facility. Regularly required to walk, stand, sit, talk, hear, see, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and use hands and fingers to operate various types of tools and equipment (i.e., hand trucks, carts, ramps, tugs, etc.). Required to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs. Required to work various shifts/days in a 24-hour situation (i.e., split shifts, delayed flights, days, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.). Regular attendance is a requirement of the role. Exposure to heights, small spaces, extreme noise (i.e., airport with planes, vehicles, and other machinery), temperature, wind, and light fluctuations. Ability to work in a confined area as well as the ability to crawl in and out of small spaces for extended periods of time. Ability to wear personal protective gear. Frequent travel is a requirement of the role.
