Westchester County Airport - HPN Summary The Landside Operations Agent will provide airport stakeholders with an exceptional level of customer service. Under the direction of the Landside Operations Supervisor they will assist with the movement of all customers throughout the passenger terminal. This person is integral to the airport's operation and will monitor and report all conditions to ensure that a safe and secure environment is maintained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties listed below are a representation of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to positively interact in a team environment, possess strong customer service skills and demonstrate exceptional verbal communication. Perform regular security inspections of airport facilities to include the passenger terminal pre-security, sterile, secure areas and report any irregularities to the supervisor on duty. Perform the parking area safety and availability check and complete the periodic report. Support landside emergency responses under the direction of the supervisor on duty. Identify and report operational, safety and security concerns to the supervisor on duty. Issue visitor badges and escort contractors, vendors per the Airport's Security Program. Assist the supervisor to ensure the safe and secure movement of all customers throughout the passenger terminal. Answer and screen telephone calls to the main airport information line and direct the inquiry to the appropriate department or agency. Assist and ensure compliance with all TSA and FAA regulations. Inspect landside roadways, walkways and parking lots and report any discrepancies to the supervisor on duty. Support contractor in the removal of all snow and ice from roadways, walkways and parking lots. Perform traffic enforcement outside of passenger terminal to ensure compliance with the Airport's Security Program. Respond to general passenger inquires in real time. Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidate will have one year of aviation related customer service experience. High school diploma or equivalency required. Must be able to pass security clearance requirements and required drug testing. Possession of a valid driver's license suitable for operation of all administration airport vehicles.
