Director of Transportation Job Goals:
- Maintains the safety of students on the bus
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 years' experience as a bus driver preferred
- Alabama Commercial CDL Driver's License
- CDL With Endorsement for Air Brake, Passenger, and School Bus
- Alabama State Certification Card
- Attend 12 hours of class, Complete a Pre-Trip Inspection, Skills Test, Road Test, Drug Test
- Complete or have completed the fingerprinting and background check process
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Pre-trip inspections
- Post trip bus inspections
- Maintain discipline on the bus
- Maintain safe driving record
- Performs related work as required
- Inspects busses as required by Federal, State, and Local regulations
- Files necessary reports and maintains files
- Follow all school board policies
- Other duties as may be assigned by transportation supervisor
