Immediately Job Description The job of the Bus Driver is done for the purpose of transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions; ensuring vehicle is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses. Responsibilities include: Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations Assists students and other passengers Attends meetings, trainings, etc. Cleans assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior Conducts emergency evacuation drills; drives school bus(es) Fuels assigned vehicle, (e.g. oil, water, fuel, etc.) Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections, (e.g. fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, etc.) Prepares documents and reports, (e.g. field trip reports, incident reports, inspection records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, etc.) Reports observations and/or incidents, (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc.) Responds to inquires, (e.g. students, parents, other school personnel, etc.) Supervises students and other passengers during transit Assists other personnel as may be required The District trains new bus drivers. Experience is desired. Full time with Benefits - 25-40 hrs. per week.

Alcohol and Drug Test Pre-placement Physical Exam Criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance Random drug testing This is a 10-month psoition only.
