We are seeking a skilled and dependable SPAB and School Bus Certified Driver to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, has a strong commitment to safety, and is looking for a rewarding long-term career . As a SPAB or school bus-certified driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting students and passengers to and from various locations while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a SPAB or School Bus-compliant vehicle to transport students, groups, and organizations to scheduled events, field trips, and extracurricular activities. Ensure the safety and well-being of passengers at all times, adhering to all local, state, and federal traffic laws. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any maintenance needs or safety concerns immediately to management. Assist with loading and unloading passengers as necessary, ensuring proper safety equipment (e.g., seatbelts) is used. Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle , ensuring it is ready for each trip. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with passengers, parents, and school staff.
Qualifications:
SPAB or School Bus certification (required). Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus (S) Endorsement. Clean driving record with no major violations. Ability to pass background checks and drug screening . Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude . Ability to work independently and manage time effectively . Experience working with children or students is a plus .
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly rate: $27.50 - $37 per hour , based on experience. $1,000 Sign-Up Bonus for SPAB and school bus-certified drivers who stay a minimum of 1 year with no lapse in employment.
