Applicants must currently possess all licenses, certificates, and medical clearances required by the State of California to operate a school bus, including: Valid California Commercial Driver's License with required endorsements Valid California Special Driver Certificate - School Bus Current medical certification as required for the assignment Current First Aid certification, if required Any other licenses, certificates, or endorsements required to operate a California school bus This recruitment is intended for applicants who are currently appropriately licensed and certified to operate a California school bus. Essential Elements:

Print Must possess a valid california Class B Driver's license with a passenger endorsement, School Bus Driver's Certificate; valid Medical Certificate Form DL 51-A; and Red cross First Aid/CPR Certificate or comparable; or be eligible for a bus operator's permit by the California Highway Patrol. Knowledge of local roadways and special driving problems and techniques caused by frequent inclement weather; safe driving practices; California Motor Vehicle Code Requirements / Qualifications CalPERS Retirees Encouraged to Apply Qualified CalPERS retirees who currently possess the required school bus driver licenses, certificates, and medical clearance are encouraged to apply.
