Class B Bus Driver Victor Valley Community Services Council Victorville, CA Job Details Part-time $18 an hour 23 hours ago Qualifications CDL B Passenger Endorsement English Full-size bus driving experience Passenger pickup and drop-off Defensive driving Emergency response procedures for transportation Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and reliable Bus Driver to transport Senior Citizens and disabled adults in the Hi-Desert. Must have Class B license with passenger endorsement. In this vital role you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community by providing reliable and courteous transportation services. Must pass DOJ background screening. Duties Operate Class B bus in accordance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Assist passengers with boarding, including wheelchair assistance and other mobility needs. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and emergency equipment. Respond quickly to traffic changes or emergencies by employing defensive driving techniques and emergency response procedures. Complete accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and incident reports following transportation safety regulations. Experience Proven experience operating Class B commercial vehicles, including school bus driving or transit bus operation. Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, transportation safety regulations, and emergency response procedures for transportation. Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus but not required for serving diverse communities. Demonstrated defensive driving skills with a clean driving record. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for passenger transport.
