Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment for students. Follow all FMCSA, Colorado Department of Education (CDE), school district, and company safety regulations. Communicate with dispatch, school staff, and supervisors professionally. Assist students during boarding, exiting, and emergency situations when needed. Operate wheelchair lifts and safely secure mobility devices when required. Complete required driver logs and inspection documentation. What We're Looking For Valid Class A or B CDL Passenger (P) Endorsement School Bus (S) Endorsement Current DOT Medical Card Clean driving record meeting company insurance requirements Ability to pass DOT drug testing and criminal background screening Current CPR, First Aid, and Universal Precautions certification (or ability to obtain) Commitment to safety and excellent customer service Preferred Experience Previous school bus or passenger transportation experience Mountain driving experience Experience transporting students or passengers with disabilities Colorado School Bus Compliance Drivers assigned to student transportation must meet all applicable Colorado Department of Education (CDE) requirements, including maintaining CDL endorsements, annual CDE training and evaluations, DOT qualifications, CPR/First Aid certification, ADA accessibility requirements, and any additional school district-specific training.
