Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team Part-time in the Summer 9am-4pm and afternoons during school year from 2:00pm-5:30PM on Mondays- Thursdays. The ideal candidate must hold a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) for 2 years or more and skilled in operating our company 20 passenger bus, while ensuring the safety and comfort of students. This Parttime role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to manage behavior effectively, especially when working with children or seniors. Responsibilities Safely operate a bus according to established routes and schedules Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Assist passengers in boarding and alighting from the bus, providing support as needed. Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment. Communicate effectively with passengers, staff regarding schedules and any changes. Manage passenger behavior to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere during transit. Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical integrity and report any issues promptly. Provide exceptional customer service while addressing passenger inquiries or concerns. Document daily activities, including mileage, passenger counts, and any incidents. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus driving with over 2 years with CDL (required) and previous driving experience. Must be at least 18 years old Experience in bus driving or commercial driving preferred Experience working with children or seniors is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation is beneficial. Ability to manage behavior effectively in diverse settings.
