$16.50- $18.

Position Title:
Resident Bus Driver Overview:
The Resident Bus Driver will assist as needed with resident transportation in scheduled activities. This position reports to the Transportation Supervisor.Full-Time Openings:
Monday-Friday:
9:00 am- 5:30 pm with possible weekend rotations
Part-Time Opening :
Varisous weekdays 5:15 pm- 9:00 pm and every other weekend
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Transport residents in company vehicle/bus to and from designated destinations around campus and off campus
- Ability to drive company vehicles (15+ passenger buses and car)
- Adhere to weekly schedule for keeping vehicles clean and maintained; cleaning done by driver
- Obey all traffic laws and report any violations to management immediately
- Provide prompt service to adhere to all scheduled events
- Assist residents with carry-on items, embarking and disembarking, and storage of walkers and wheelchairs
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Attend departmental education and all required in-service training/education
- Maintain confidentiality of resident/family and facility information
- Respond to all fire alarms and assist in the evacuation of residents when needed
- Represent the organization through professional demeanor and attitude
- Provide quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and staff
- Report any incident and/or safety concerns to your supervisor immediately
- Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- CPR & first aid certification preferred
Valid Florida Commercial Driving License:
Class "C" or higher and passenger endorsement- Safe driving record and insurable under the company automobile insurance policy
CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate lifts and ramps on passenger buses
- Ability to operate wheelchair restraints on passenger buses
- Able to drive all company vehicles
- Ability to perform a vehicle inspection before driving
- Ability to work under stress in a calm positive manner
- Able to work well with others, including staff, supervisor, residents, families, volunteers and the public
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physically assist residents in and out of vehicles as determined by physical needs of the resident
- Requires prolonged sitting and driving
- Ability to lift up heavy objects in assisting residents with packages, wheelchairs, walkers in and out of vehicles
- Ability to safely operate bus mechanical lifts
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Clean and fully functioning vehicles
- Exposure to changing weather conditions
