Responsibilities Safely operate school buses along designated routes, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of students Follow traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations at all times Assist students with disabilities by providing wheelchair assistance and ensuring their safety during transit Maintain discipline and manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and behavior management guidelines Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, signals, and emergency equipment Respond quickly to traffic changes or emergencies using emergency response procedures for transportation Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and students to ensure smooth daily operations Requirements Valid driver's license Proven experience in driving or similar commercial driving roles Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations applicable at state and local levels First aid certification (including CPR) and knowledge of emergency stop procedures for transportation safety Experience working with children or in educational environments is highly preferred Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform vehicle maintenance checks as needed Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse communities Familiarity with student discipline policies and behavior management techniques Ability to respond swiftly to traffic changes or emergencies with quick decision-making skills Join us as a School Bus Driver and help create a safe, welcoming environment on the road!
