08/15/2024 Description This part-time position is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of passengers using a vehicle that requires a Commercial Driver's License. Work is performed within the established guidelines and procedures with regard to the safety of the passengers and the general public. Examples of Duties (

Safely operate college bus for scheduled routes and special trips, ensuring the well-being of passengers at all times. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues to the Transportation Manager. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the bus. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus as needed. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork, including trip logs and maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with passengers and address any concerns or questions in a professional manner. Adhering to safety rules and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies. Minimum Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Experience driving for educational institutions or similar organizations. Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor vehicle issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Valid Florida state-issued Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger (P) endorsement. Clean driving record with no major violations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overnight trips.

Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction). Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid). Ability to communicate effective both orally and in writing. Moderate (15 to 44 lbs.) lifting and carrying. Reaching. Use of fingers. Climbing. Pulling and pushing. Walking. Sitting. Standing. Kneeling. Bending. Stooping.
