Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Bus Driver and become a vital part of our transportation network! In this energetic role, you will ensure the safe, reliable, and friendly transportation of senior living passengers across various routes. Duties Safely operate buses for senior care following designated routes and schedules Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and mechanical readiness Communicate clearly with passengers using effective language skills; assist with boarding, seating arrangements, and behavior management as needed Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and any incidents during shifts Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger questions, ensuring comfort, and fostering a positive experience Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations diligently to prevent accidents or violations Collaborate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate routes efficiently and handle any unforeseen issues promptly Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in bus driving or commercial driving preferred Knowledge of traffic laws, safety procedures, and vehicle maintenance basics (mechanical knowledge) Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Experience working with seniors, or individuals requiring special assistance (paratransit or senior care experience) Ability to manage behavior effectively and maintain patience in challenging situations Demonstrated reliability with excellent attendance and punctuality Basic writing skills for completing reports and logs accurately Join us to drive positive change in your community!
