Job Description
Company Summary and Location Global Parking Systems are experts in the management of parking lots, valet services, parking management and shuttle operations at airports across the country. This Shuttle Bus Driver position is located at our Sarasota, Florida location, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, 6000 Airport Circle, Sarasota, FL. Scope of Position Shuttle Bus Drivers provide shuttling services to customers to and from the airport terminal in a safe and timely manner. Essential Functions To perform the Shuttle Bus Driver position successfully, an individual must be able to perform satisfactorily perform each essential duty and responsibility listed below with little supervision:
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspection of the assigned shuttle bus before the start of every shift and immediately report any deficiency to Supervisor/Manager On-Duty
- Conduct post-trip vehicle inspection of the assigned shuttle bus at the end of every shift and immediately report any deficiency
- Ensure compliance of route schedule
- Maintain cleanliness of shuttle bus interiors, fuel shuttle buses, log trip counts and assist disabled passengers
- Responsible for being at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform
- Possess a valid state-issued driver's license to be carried with driver, at all times, while on duty
- Have and maintain an acceptable DMV record
- Courteously assist customers by answering any questions they may have. If necessary, direct the customer to the Supervisor/Manger On-Duty for further assistance
- Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Supervisor/Manager
- Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc. to Supervisor/Manager On-Duty
- Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items
- Assist Supervisors with other duties as needed
- Obey all federal, state, and local laws including traffic laws regarding proper operation of shuttle bus Starting Hourly Rate of Pay The starting rate of pay for the Shuttle Bus Driver position is $16.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- The driving will be responsible for driving a shuttle bus outside where the temperatures are diverse and the weather is adverse Position Status and Availability The individual selected for the Shuttle Bus Driver position must be available to work a part-time flexible shift including evenings, weekends and holidays.

- Ability to push, pull and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to comply with company's policies and procedures
- Ability to speak clearly, write legibly, perform basic calculations and work well other employees
- Willingness to work outside in extreme weather conditions (cold, hot, rainy)
- Consistently arrive at work and on time; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrive at meetings and appointments on time
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write) with customers, co-workers and management to their understanding DOT Medical Card The individual selected for the Shuttle Bus Driver position must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) and is required to ensure that the medical card is renewed prior to the expiration date listed on the card.

- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Education Requirements The individual selected for the Shuttle Bus Driver position must possess a:
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
