Job Description
Department Florida State University Schools Responsibilities Bus maintenance such as gassing the bus, reporting any repairs needed and reading the bus script before each trip. Ensuring all riders wear seat belts. Cleaning the bus if the trip sponsor does not. Putting bus number and driver initials on gas receipt; turning in gas receipts. Signing P-card reconciliation monthly and pre- and post-trip inspection log. Keeping the mileage log, bus cleaning form. Maintaining all certifications and endorsements required to be a bus driver. Yearly physical and dexterity test. Yearly 8-hour safety training, maintaining a safe driving record and random drug screening. Qualifications Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with P and S endorsements. Must have a safety certification and a current physical. This position requires that employees meet an annual safety certification and annual physical. Must be able to give three professional references. Ability to get along with children, parents and co-workers.
