Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic transportation team as a Bus Driver/Floater, where your energy and dedication will keep our community moving safely and efficiently. In this vital role, you will operate various types of buses, and vans ensuring passengers of all ages and abilities reach their destinations comfortably and securely. Your proactive approach to safety, excellent communication skills, and passion for service will make a positive impact every day. This paid position offers the opportunity to work in a lively environment while making a difference in people's lives through reliable transportation. Duties Safely operate different types of buses. Provide assistance to children with boarding, and buckling if needed. Follow all traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for children. Respond quickly to traffic changes or emergencies by implementing emergency stop procedures and emergency response protocols for transportation. Maintain clear communication with dispatchers and team members using radios or other devices to coordinate routes efficiently. Support school policies when transporting students ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license.... experience driving school buses is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle operation codes, and transportation safety regulations at the state and local levels. Experience working with children or ability to handle behavior management effectively. Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge Strong communication skills in English Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to remain calm under pressure in emergency situations.
