Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Bus Driver to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting students, along designated School drop-off and pick-up routes. Your enthusiasm and commitment to safety will ensure a positive experience for all riders. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing reliable transportation services while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of buses, including school buses/vans, following established routes and schedules Ensure passenger safety by enforcing behavior management policies and assisting with boarding and disembarking procedures Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and emergency equipment Respond promptly to traffic changes or emergencies by executing emergency stop procedures and quick response techniques Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, incidents, and vehicle maintenance reports Communicate effectively with passengers using clear language; handle inquiries professionally while providing excellent customer service Experience Proven experience driving commercial vehicles such as school buses, transit buses, or vans in a professional setting Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations at the state and local levels Familiarity with emergency response procedures for transportation incidents and child or passenger behavior management Experience working with children, or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for vehicle maintenance or passenger assistance Multilingual skills are a plus for serving diverse communities effectively Valid commercial driver's license ; clean driving record required Join us in delivering safe, reliable transportation that makes a difference every day! Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 3.0 - 4.0 per week
