Bus Driver (Class C CDL required) Creative Center for Young Children (Downtown Des Moines) 1001 Pleasant St Des Moines, IA 50309 515-280-3032 PHONE 515-282-6106 FAX The Creative Center for Young Children, a fine arts focused, Early Childhood Program in Downtown Des Moines is seeking an safety conscious and personable bus driver to join our program. Job Duties Transport preschool and school age children with their teachers on field trips, transport children from the Downtown School back to center each afternoon with their teachers, general cleaning and maintenance of the bus, take bus for service appointments as necessary, and fill bus with gas each Friday afternoon. Our bus is a 30 passenger Thomas built Multi-Function School Activity Vehicle. Retired persons encouraged to apply. Small commitment with huge impact and immense personal fulfillment. Fun environment with small groups of children and dedicated teachers. Various Bus Driving Times Morning Field Trips for Preschool
- given at least two weeks notice. Monday thru Friday After School Transportation from Downtown School to CCYC from 2
- 3pm. School Age Intercession Day Field Trips
- given at least two weeks notice.
Days we are closed:
Thanksgiving Day and the day after.Christmas Day New Year's Day Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Required Trainings:
Child & Adult CPR First Aid Universal Precautions Mandatory Reporting Required:
Must be 21 years old or older Class C Commercial Driver License with passenger endorsement Pre-employment Physical including record of current immunizations and TB test DHS Criminal History Check Request for Child Abuse and Sex Offender Registry Information Federal Background check Benefits include:- 403b (after 1 year employment)
