$18.00 per hour Drake University is seeking responsible, service-oriented individuals to join our team as Part-Time Safe Ride Bus Drivers . Safe Ride provides safe, reliable transportation for Drake University students, faculty, and staff during evening hours throughout the academic year. Work Schedule Sunday through Wednesday 8:00 p.m. to 1:15 a.m. Positions are available during the Fall and Spring academic terms Position Summary The Safe Ride Bus Driver is responsible for transporting students, faculty, and staff safely and courteously in and around the Drake University campus and surrounding areas. Drivers serve as ambassadors of the University by providing excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and professional environment for passengers. Essential Responsibilities Safely operate a university vehicle along designated routes and service areas. Provide reliable transportation for Drake University students, faculty, and staff. Follow all traffic laws, university policies, and safety procedures. Conduct routine vehicle safety inspections before and after shifts. Maintain a professional, courteous, and customer-focused attitude. Report incidents, accidents, or vehicle concerns promptly. Assist in creating a welcoming and respectful environment for all passengers. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a good driving record . Demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices. Strong customer service and communication skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to work independently and responsibly during evening and late-night hours. Why Join Drake Safe Ride?
