Job Description

Southwest Iowa Planning Council is currently accepting applications for part-time SWITA Drivers for Glenwood. Position may include late night/early morning hours. We are looking for a few good drivers. As a SWITA Driver, you will be responsible for the operation of a car, van, or bus that picks up and discharges passengers to various destinations. Starting wage is $17.00 per hour with some hours qualifying for a shift differential of $5.00 per hour. Benefits include IPERS, PTO and flexible scheduling. Other available benefits are Vision Plan, Dental Plan and
FSA. DRIVER DUTIES
  • Maintaining communication with the dispatcher,
  • Maintaining scheduled route and trips as directed by the dispatcher,
  • Ensures the safety of passengers while in route to their destination,
  • Assists passengers needing help boarding and departing the vehicle,
  • Performs pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections,
  • Maintain bus cleanliness A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class C with Passenger Endorsement, is required.
If you do not have we will assist you in obtaining this license after an offer to hire has been made.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to obtain/maintain CDL Class C with Passenger Endorsement
  • Ability to pass a CDL Medical Exam
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test
