Make a Difference Every Day Job Purpose As a School Bus Driver, your primary responsibility is to safely transport students while providing a reliable, professional, and welcoming experience. You will play a vital role in ensuring students arrive safely and on time. This role is ideal for individuals who value safety, responsibility, and community impact. What You'll Do Safely operate a school bus on regular, spare, or charter routes Read and follow route sheets, maps, street signs, and electronic routing devices Perform thorough pre trip and post trip inspections, including required child checks Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, including operating wheelchair lifts Maintain a safe and orderly environment through effective student management Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and students Attend all required safety meetings and training sessions Conduct emergency evacuations when necessary, including use of emergency exits Clean and maintain the interior of the bus (sweeping, dusting, windows) and exterior windows Perform additional duties or specialized functions as required by contract What We're Looking For Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Valid operator's license with required endorsements and any state or local permits Skills & Expectations Strong verbal communication skills Ability to work early morning hours Comfortable working independently without direct supervision Professional, respectful attitude toward coworkers, students, and customers Professional appearance appropriate for a business environment Commitment to safety and compliance with OSHA guidelines and all federal and state regulations Ability to follow company policies and procedures consistently Comfortable using or learning technology, including internet-based tools, electronic routing devices, phones, and office equipment Why Join Us? •Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus.
