QUALIFICATIONS

Valid CDL Class B license with School Bus and Passenger endorsement Three years experience as a school bus driver Past driving record free from: 1. conviction for reckless driving 2. conviction of driving under the influence 3. revocation of driver's license 4. unsatisfied judgments as a result of an accident Yearly physical examination with negative TB test. Such additional requirements as the Board of Education may require.

JOB GOAL

To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular program.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Obeys all traffic laws. 2. Observes all mandatory safety regulations for school buses. 3. Maintains discipline when students are on the bus. 4. Reports undisciplined students to the proper authority in writing. 5. Keeps assigned bus clean. 6. Keeps to assigned schedule and stops. 7. Checks bus before operation for mechanical defects. 8. Promptly notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness. 9. Discharges students only at authorized stops. 10. Exercises responsible leadership when on school field trips. 11. Transports only authorized students. 12. Reports all accidents and completes required reports. 13. Enforces regulation against standing, smoking, and eating on the bus. 14. Keeps an up-to-date record sheet listing mileage, fuel consumption and field trips. 15. Uses the radio in the proper manner. 16. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Transportation Director.

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the

NPEA IEA/NEA ESP

Agreement.

Pay:

$22.89 - $23.84 per hour
