Job Description

Child Care Assistant Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Assistant to support the care and development of children in our program. The ideal candidate will work closely with children, helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring children's safety, and supporting their individual needs. A key responsibility includes driving the van to transport after-school children, ensuring timely and safe arrivals and departures. Responsibilities Assist in supervising children during various activities to promote their social, emotional, and physical development. Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational and recreational activities. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines. Drive the van to transport children from school & maintaining punctuality and safety standards. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and team members regarding children's needs and progress. Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play. Support children with their daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene as needed. Skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van transportation duties. Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and team members. Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in child development. Ability to follow safety procedures diligently. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the childcare environment. Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
