Bus Driver Needed Part-Time August 6, 2026 Buckley Community Schools is accepting applications for the following position: 1. Type of work — Bus Driver 2. Location of work — Buckley Community Schools 3. Starting date — August 25, 2026 4. Rate of pay — $22.35 /hr. 5. Classification — Transportation 6. Hours per day - 4 hrs./day 7. Minimum requirements — CDL Class B, plus Passenger & School Bus Endorsement (of which we are willing to train and help with the cost of these things ) 8. Ending date for applications — Applications will be accepted until the position is filled Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing safe and reliable transportation services while ensuring an exceptional experience for all passengers. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to handle various driving situations with professionalism and care. Duties Safely operate a bus or van, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Transport passengers to designated locations, including schools, senior care facilities, and community events. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle interior and exterior. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Educate passengers on safety protocols and procedures during transit. Provide excellent customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns promptly. Keep accurate records of routes, passenger counts, and any incidents that may occur during transit. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people. Bilingual abilities in Spanish or other languages are a plus. Experience in senior care or childcare settings is beneficial for understanding the needs of various passenger demographics. Previous experience as a van driver or bus driver is preferred. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks is advantageous. Ability to write clear reports regarding incidents or passenger feedback as needed.
