At Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services (STARS) , you'll build a rewarding career while serving your community. As a Fixed Route CDL Bus Operator, you'll play an essential role in providing safe, reliable transportation for thousands of riders throughout the Saginaw area. We're looking for dependable, safety-focused professionals who take pride in delivering outstanding customer service and helping others get where they need to go. What You'll Do Safely operate public transit buses on scheduled fixed routes. Follow all state and local traffic laws while practicing defensive driving. Provide exceptional customer service to passengers. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting, including those using mobility devices. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Collect fares and accurately complete required reports and documentation. Communicate professionally with dispatch and fellow team members. Help ensure every passenger arrives safely and on time. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate passenger endorsements. Strong commitment to safety and customer service. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist passengers using mobility devices. Preferred One to three years of commercial or bus driving experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
