Our team of transportation professionals is committed to supporting educational institutions with recruiting, hiring, and onboarding school bus drivers, monitors, mechanics, and transportation staff. Job Overview We are seeking energetic and dependable School Bus Drivers to join our team in Williamston. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in student safety and transportation while fostering positive relationships with children and the community. Route bonus avalable as well, every 50 routes ran you get a $1000 bonus up to 3 times a year! If you have a passion for working with children, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to safety, we want to hear from you! No Experience Necesarry, Paid Training Provided Duties Safely operate school buses and other commercial vehicles to transport students and staff according to designated routes and schedules Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle's mechanical systems, brakes, lights, and safety equipment to ensure optimal operation Maintain a safe driving environment by adhering to traffic laws and school district policies Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and dispatchers in both English and multilingual settings when applicable Manage student behavior on the bus using positive behavior management techniques Assist students with disabilities or special needs, providing childcare support as needed while ensuring their safety Complete all required documentation such as trip logs, incident reports, and vehicle inspection records Experience Prior experience in bus driving or commercial driving is preferred but not required; paid training will be provided for qualified candidates Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems is advantageous for routine inspections and basic troubleshooting Experience working with children or in childcare environments helps foster a safe and welcoming atmosphere on the bus Knowledge of behavior management strategies enhances student safety and cooperation during transit Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; appropriate commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger, school bus, and air brake endorsement is required or will be obtained during onboarding Ability to work flexible hours aligned with school schedules; commitment to safety and punctuality is essential Join us at METS as a School Bus Driver in Williamston and make a meaningful difference in students' daily lives!
