Qualifications/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required Valid Minnesota license with clean driving record Successful completion of DOT physical exam Ability to pass a background check Ability to pass a pre employment drug & alcohol screen

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed:

Successful candidates must be able to work split shift; have skills and aptitude to operate a bus safely; enjoy the presence of children; be reliable and punctual. No experience required - paid training provided to obtain necessary license and endorsements. DOT Physical and drug testing are required. Exemplifies the following

Specific Tasks:

To safely and efficiently transport students to and from their school site and/or special events. Most Drivers depart approximately 6:00 a.m. and return about 9:00 a.m. and depart again approximately 1:30 pm and return around 4:30 p.m. in the afternoon. Hours per day: Averaging 5 hours per day As per Bus Driver Agreement Route Driver Hourly Rate starting at $27.50/hour with the expectation of driving morning and afternoon routes $500 Hiring Incentive - Drivers in Training To qualify for the $500 hiring incentive, employees must: Be a new employee of Cambridge-Isanti Schools. Not hold a valid Class B CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements at the time of hire. Successfully obtain a Class B CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements through the Cambridge-Isanti Schools training program. Be recommended into a regular bus route driver position with Cambridge-Isanti Schools. Successfully complete six (6) months of continuous employment in the regular full-time bus driver position. $500 Hiring Incentive - CDL Licensed Drivers To qualify for the $500 hiring incentive, employees must: Be a new full-time bus driver with Cambridge-Isanti Schools. Hold a valid Class B CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements at the time of hire. Successfully complete six (6) months of continuous employment in the regular full-time bus driver position. May become benefit eligible if combined with other positions.
