Bus Driver
- City of Columbia, Missouri (Public Works Department)
Starting Pay:
$20.95- $21.
Plus:
$1.00/hour shift differential for all hours worked between 6:00 PM and 6:00AM Schedule:
Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week (8-hour or split shifts available)Application Deadline:

Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of related driving or transportation experience. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement and no airbrake restriction. Current DOT medical certification.Preferred:
Previous public transit or passenger transportation experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of local traffic laws, safe driving practices, and assigned routes. Ability to manage stressful or challenging customer interactions with professionalism. Skill in operating fleet vehicles and related equipment. Ability to count money, make change, and complete basic written reports. Commitment to safety and maintaining a constant state of alertness. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work performed in vehicles and outdoor environments with exposure to traffic, weather, and noise. Occasional lifting up to 35 pounds; frequent movement and vehicle operation required. May encounter hostile or irate individuals and must remain calm and professional.
