Posting Begin Date 06/30/2026 Posting End Date N/A Full Time No Job Category Non- Certified Application Schedule As needed Salary N/A Licensed Position No Description Bus Driver Qualifications At least 21 years of age Possess a valid Class B, COL Mississippi Driver's License No addiction to alcohol or narcotic drugs Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening Performance Responsibilities Assumes personal responsibility for obeying all traffic laws and for compliance with regulation of the Department of Public Safety governing the operation of school buses. Conducts a walkthrough inside and outside the bus on a daily basis to inspect the overall physical condition of the bus. Reports damage to the interior of the bus to the appropriate principal as soon as a deficiency is noticed. Assumes responsibility for sanitary conditions of bus. Sees that bus is clean and presentable. Maintains order when students are on the bus. Reports behavior problems and student damage to the bus to the appropriate principal. Follows assed schedule, arriving at school with students on time and discharging students only at authorized stops. Notifies the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness. Transports only authorized students. Reports all accidents and completes required reports. Performs all other duties as identified by the Transportation Director, Maintenance Director, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or a principal.
