ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate CATS Transit Buses safely on prescribed scheduled routes as directed. Collects/records bus fares, and transfers in accordance with CATS procedures. Promote exemplary customer service of the Charlotte Area Transit System by providing safe, courteous, timely, and dependable service while transporting CATS customers. Input information into computer-based equipment such as Automated Vehicle Locator (AVL), Automatic Passenger Counter, (APC) fare-box and destination displays (requires touch key entering). Able to read and interpret maps and complex schedules and provide route and schedule information to transit customers. Assist in the boarding of disable customers who require the aid of accessible vehicles (wheelchairs/scooters) for the purpose of mobility.Benefits:
