The Paratransit Driver will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to individuals with disabilities and elderly passengers who require specialized transit services. Key Responsibilities:
Operate paratransit vehicles in a safe and courteous manner. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort. Follow scheduled routes and timetables, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records of passenger trips, including pick-up and drop-off times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers, providing excellent customer service. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues. Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle. Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid CDL license with passenger endorsement or class B with passenger endorsement permit , with a clean driving record. Previous experience in transportation or customer service is preferred. Ability to operate a paratransit vehicle and assist passengers with mobility challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and assist passengers with mobility devices. Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a vehicle.

Paratransit Driver Pay:
