Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including students and seniors, while ensuring a positive and secure environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to manage behavior effectively. Responsibilities Safely operate a bus according to established routes and schedules. Ensure the safety of all passengers while boarding, riding, and exiting the bus. Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle through regular inspections and basic maintenance. Communicate effectively with passengers, parents, and school officials regarding schedules and any changes. Educate passengers on safety protocols and behavior expectations during transit. Manage passenger behavior to ensure a respectful and safe environment for all riders. Assist passengers with special needs or disabilities as required, including paratransit services. Complete necessary paperwork related to transportation activities, including incident reports when necessary. Skills Strong behavior management skills to maintain order among passengers. Experience in school bus driving or commercial driving is preferred. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Proficient in English with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to educate passengers on safety protocols effectively.
