Overview We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing safe and reliable transportation services, ensuring the well-being of passengers while fostering a positive environment. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional service, particularly for individuals in senior care, childcare, and paratransit services. Duties Safely operate a bus or other transportation vehicle, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Ensure the comfort and safety of passengers during transit, providing assistance as needed. Educate passengers about safety protocols and proper behavior while on the bus. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any maintenance issues. Manage passenger behavior effectively, ensuring a respectful and safe environment for all riders. Communicate clearly with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any changes. Document daily activities, including passenger counts and any incidents that occur during transit. Experience Previous experience in customer service is highly valued; experience in senior care or childcare settings is a plus. Familiarity with paratransit services is beneficial for understanding the unique needs of diverse passengers. Bilingual or multilingual skills are advantageous for effective communication with a broader range of passengers. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential for documentation and interaction with passengers. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; additional certifications may be necessary depending on the specific transportation needs.
