The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and school related activities. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage various passenger needs effectively.
Pay:
$136.84 per day, 4-hours of work $34.21 per hour for field trips & sport trips $3,000 sign-on bonus after completing 12-months $3,000 Safe Driver bonus $300 per month Perfect Attendance bonusBenefits:

Eligible to participate in 403B retirement program.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a school bus to transport students to and from school, extracurricular activities, and field trips.
- Monitor student behavior and address any misbehavior or issues in a fair and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus interior, ensuring the comfort and safety of all passengers.
- Ensure that all safety equipment and regulations are followed at all times.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and school staff.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other school staff regarding any issues or concerns.
- Educate students on bus safety and rules.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure the bus is in good working condition.
- Keep accurate records of bus routes, student attendance, and any incidents that may occur.
- Report any mechanical issues or incidents to the supervisor or maintenance.
Experience:
- Current has or ability to obtain a CDL-B, passenger endorsement, school bus certificate and air brake
- Ability to pass and remain in a DOT drug screen program.
- Must pass a Dept. of Education background check.
- Experience driving a bus or van for children or a school district is preferred.
- Experience working with children and managing their behavior is preferred.
- Prior experience with mechanical knowledge or performing vehicle maintenance checks is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective communication with parents, teachers, and school staff.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
