Description:

Tuesday

  • Saturday Position, 9am to 5:30pm
Responsibilities:

Keep assigned buildings, grounds, sidewalks, driveways, and fields neat, clean, and safe (including scrubbing/disinfecting fountains, restrooms, and fixtures; washing windows/shades/blinds; floor care; snow/ice removal). Check regularly the security of the building and ensure that all exit doors are operational and that all panic hardware is working. Work cooperatively with other custodial employees during emergency operations. Follow assigned and temporary work schedules from Building Foreman and/or Principal. Monitor building security, ensure exit doors and panic hardware function, and assist in emergency operations. Remove trash/recyclables daily per regulations. Maintain cleaning supply inventory and store safely. Receive/move deliveries, furniture, equipment, and supplies safely. Promptly report needed repairs, damage, vandalism, or theft. Participate in safety, Right-to-Know, and other required training. Assist in emergencies, evacuations, and drills. Perform minor repairs to furniture, equipment, and building. Operate and maintain boiler plant/heating/ventilating systems (lubrication, belt/filter changes, cleaning, boiler log entries). Perform other assigned duties within scope of employment.

Qualifications:

Hold a Black Seal Boiler Operator License or be able to obtain within one (1) year of employment Hold a valid Drivers License and hold a valid commercial driver's license (or be able to obtain within one (1) year of employment) with no serious violations and with endorsements necessary to carry school children in school buses equipped with air brakes Have a minimum of one (1) year of previous work related experience Clean driving record and ability to pass federal/state background checks, fingerprinting, and drug/alcohol screening Knowledge of safe driving practices and school bus operation Experience in custodial/maintenance work preferred Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude when working around students and staff

Compensation:

Salary is within the range of $58,131 and $73,922, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
