Job Description

Overview We are seeking dedicated and responsible School Van Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing safe and reliable transportation for school children with special needs. We primarily use 7-passenger vans to provide transportation for special needs children attending out of district schools. Routes are with and without Aides and no large busses. Flexible AM/PM schedules with summers off or year-round assignments available. Duties Safely operate a school van , adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Ensure the safety of all passengers, including children, by conducting pre-trip inspections and monitoring behavior during transit. Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, providing support as needed. Educate passengers on safety protocols and proper behavior while on the bus. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle. Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other staff members regarding any issues or concerns. Complete necessary paperwork, including daily logs and incident reports. Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, fostering a welcoming environment. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Proven experience in school van driving or general bus driving is preferred. Experience working with special needs children is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all passengers. Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor vehicle issues may be beneficial.
