SCHOOL BUS DRIVER

Overview We are seeking dedicated and responsible Bus Drivers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have have strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage behavior effectively while on the bus.

Duties :

Safely operate a school bus, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and mechanical soundness Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment for students Communicate effectively with passengers, parents, and staff regarding schedules, routes, and any issues that may arise Manage student behavior on bus to ensure a safe and respectful environment during transit Assist children in boarding and disembarking the bus, providing support as needed

Experience:

Proven experience in bus driving is preferred Previous experience working with children or in childcare settings is advantageous Knowledge of mechanical systems related to bus operation is beneficial Skills in behavior management will be valuable in maintaining order on the bus

Qualifications:

Must have NYS CDL, Class B or C with appropriate passenger endorsement Must pass a NYS DMV Physician's Exam Must pass pre-employment US DOT drug screen & random drug screenings thereafter Must pass NYSED Dept.
