Job Description As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver in Jamaica, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Patrol Officer for a dynamic public transportation location. This driving post involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, responding to concerns, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. AM What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols of bus facilities, parking areas, transit access points, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations. Monitor access points and assist with controlling entry to restricted areas in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed. Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. Have at least 6 months of security-related experience. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
