Job Description:
Morris Central School Opening Regular Run Bus Driver 3.5 hours/day, 10-month position. Must have a CDL license to drive school bus. Regular Run School Bus Driver The Regular Run School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, extracurricular activities, field trips, and other authorized destinations in accordance with established routes and schedules. The driver operates the school bus in a safe, courteous, and professional manner while complying with all applicable federal, state, and school district regulations. Responsibilities include conducting required pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle, reporting mechanical concerns promptly, and ensuring students follow appropriate safety procedures. The driver maintains effective communication with school personnel, parents, and transportation staff as needed and responds appropriately to emergencies or changing road conditions. The position requires a valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with appropriate school bus and passenger endorsements, as well as any required certifications.
